The A632 Matlock Road had been closed between Acorn Ridge in Walton and the Darley Road junction since yesterday lunchtime because of floodwater and a collapsed wall.

Within the last hour it re-opened to single-file traffic under traffic light control after Derbyshire County Council carried out work to remove the rubble and unblock a damaged drain.
