Derbyshire on snow alert for the second time this week

Forecasters are again warning of snow in Derbyshire.

The Met Office yellow ‘be prepared’ alert is valid between midnight and 11.45pm on Friday.

A spokesman for the Met Office said: “An area of rain will move across the UK from the south on Friday afternoon and into the evening. As this rain arrives it will fall as snow.

Snow fell in parts of Derbyshire earlier this week.
