A Derbyshire housing provider wants to assure its tenants that they can still be contacted, despite the telephone problems they have been experiencing.

Rykneld Homes, which manages 8,000 homes on behalf of North East Derbyshire District Council is currently unable to accept or make telephone calls from their landline numbers.

However, the company is keen to assure vulnerable and elderly tenants they can still use the freephone number, 08000 121621, or visit their offices at Pioneer House in Chesterfield, Dronfield Sports Centre or Sharley Park Leisure Centre in Clay Cross.

They say the problem has been caused externally and their supplier is currently working to rectify the situation.

They also say they will be updating their website, www.rykneldhomes.org.uk, throughout the day.
