Derbyshire firefighters on strike

Firefighters in Derbyshire have joined crews across the country in another day of strikes over a pensions dispute.

Members of the Fire Brigades Union (FBU) are taking part in a 24–hour strike, which started at 9am today (Tuesday, December 9).

Firefighters stood outside Chesterfield Fire Station holding placards calling for the reinstatement of former FBU national executive delegate Ricky Matthews, who was suspended from his role.
