Carl Denton, of Barlow, rode from Manchester to London in 15 hours and 50 minutes.

The 48 year-old, who was proud of dad Michael Denton, said: “Dad suffered with dementia and passed away in July last year so this was very poignant for me. He was a business partner with Roy Hooton at Matlock insurance Consultants and he was involved in running Calver Football Club’s junior sides with Michael Hoyes and Jack Howard.
