Members of a new theatre group showed off their talents in their first public performance.
The Phoenix Theatre Group, based at the Parish Centre, Stonegravels, Chesterfield, entertained 60 spectators with a play, verse and readings.
The play, written by Doris Worthington, was entitled Millie’s Dream and focused on shop window mannequins which magically came to life.
Poetry and readings, most of them read and written by members of the theatre group, opened the show.
The group meets at the parish centre on Wednesday at 7pm. New members welcome.
