NE Derbyshire MP Natascha Engel has arranged another public meeting for those concerned about plans to fill a quarry where a teenager drowned.

Ryan Walker, 15, of Clay Cross, died during an accident while swimming at Fall Hill Quarry, Ashover, and JC Balls and Sons have applied for planning permission to Derbyshire County Council to fill in part of the site.

But MP Natascha Engel has now organised a second public meeting after Fall Hill Landfill Action Group campaigners raised concerns the work may lead to an influx of lorries, road safety dangers, dust and noise.

The meeting will be held at Ashover Parish Hall, between 5.30pm and 7pm, on Friday, February 10.
