Neither Derbyshire County Council nor Chesterfield Borough Council - which remove dead animals from roads - has any reports of a dead wallaby in the area.

A population of wallabies was established in the Peak District around 1940 by five escapees from a local zoo. As of last September, sightings were still being made in the area.
