TWENTY two members of staff from local building society The Nottingham will be cycling over 241 miles around the East Midlands.

Powered by professional cyclists from Team Raleigh-GAC, the riders will be raising awareness and money for local homelessness charity Framework.

Chief Executive David Marlow said: “I am incredibly proud to be part of the team from The Nottingham completing this relay – for the last 18 months we have been working hard to support homelessness, education and employability in our local communities under our Doing Good Together banner.

“Each and every donation we collect in support of ‘Bike It!’ will go towards helping Framework to continue its work across our region in these challenging times.

“Across the country, we have seen a resurgence in cycling recently and with our sponsorship of Team Raleigh-GAC earlier in the year, a biking challenge was a perfect way of getting the whole business involved in our biggest fundraising effort yet.”

Andrew Redfern from Framework added: “We’re delighted to be supported by two local historic organisations and wish all the riders the best of luck with their fundraising endeavours.”

The team will be visiting eleven branches including Chesterfield and will be travelling over 241 miles over five days, ending in Nottingham on Friday 7 September, with the aim of raising £5,000 for the charity. To make a donation, visit
