Cyclist left with serious injuries after Baslow crash

A man has been left with serious injuries after coming off his bicycle while riding in Baslow.

A 53-year-old man fell from his bike at around 10.30am on the A621, Baslow Road, between Owler Bar and Baslow, on Saturday, July 14.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said: “The incident involved a dark/black coloured car that was overtaking a light coloured car. The dark coloured car may have clipped the rider travelling on the opposite side of the road - heading towards Owler Bar.

“We need any information regarding the incident and the drivers of the two cars. Did you witness the incident? Do you have any information about the two drivers?”

Officers are also keen to hear from anyone with dashcam video from the area at that time that may have footage of the incident or a car that matches the description.
