CROMFORD: Music and real ale on the meadow

Matlock Beer Festival and Music on the Meadows have joined forces to bring a day of live music and real beers down to Cromford Meadows.

There will be 20 summer ales on tap – courtesy of Hydro-X and the springhead brewery – and eight live bands ripping it up from 2pm till 11pm on Saturday, July 13. Event organiser Tim Taylor said: “Early on we’re keeping it nice and chilled with some excellent acoustic acts, including Jason Barker, Liam Walker, Andy Carr, Olliver Taylor-Fry snf Gareth Metcalfe.

“Later on we’ve got sets from Rattlin’ Bog a 5 piece folk act, then ska, funk and reggae stalwarts, ten-piece John Brewer Collective and an energetic set from Joan’s Babies of the ‘indescribable’ Please Y’self, and all topped off by the ever brilliant Wam Bam Band returning for their twelfth year at the event.
