Woman jailed after she was caught stealing from Chesterfield shops nine times during lockdown

A 36 year-old woman has been jailed for 16 weeks after assaulting a shop worker and stealing from stores in Chesterfield.

Jessica Hodgkinson, formerly of Albion Road, Chesterfield, pleaded guilty to the offences which took place between Tuesday April 21 and Saturday May 16.

The stores affected included Poundland, Superdrug and Boots in Chesterfield town centre, Ashgate Service Station, The Range and Asda on Sheffield Road.

Miss Hodgkinson was ordered to pay £466 compensation by magistrates at Chesterfield Justice Centre on Wednesday (May 20).
