Woman charged after ‘altercation’ on Chesterfield street

A woman has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent after an ‘altercation’ on a Chesterfield street.

Officers attended Wordsworth Road, Newbold, at around 6.40pm on Sunday after receiving reports of an altercation in the street between two women in their 30s.

A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “The women, who know each other, suffered injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment."

The force has now confirmed that Laura Naylor, 37, of Kipling Road, Newbold, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

She was due to appear before magistrates in Derby on Tuesday.
