Witness appeal after man, 87, seriously injured in Chesterfield crash

Police investigating a collision in which an elderly man suffered serious injuries are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

The collision occurred on Saturday July 25 at 11.10am close to the Stand Road Recreation Ground in Stand Road, Chesterfield, and involved a grey Peugeot 208 colliding with an 87-year-old pedestrian.

The man was taken to the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, with multiple, serious injuries.

Officers now want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident – of particular interest are any drivers who may have dashcam footage that captured the incident.
