A warrant had to be issued for the arrest of a woman who was due to be sentenced for assaulting a man.
Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard how Alex Browse, 21, of Cauldon Drive, Chesterfield, assaulted the man by beating on November 15.
Browse previously admitted not attending a court hearing and not attending a probation meeting four days later.
But defence solicitor Robert Sowter explained she had been unwell and she had tried to call the probation service and did not have a phone number for the court.
The court also heard how Browse had struggled with health issues and the misuse of legal highs. The case was subsequently adjourned until November 27 and Browse was released on conditional bail.
However, Browse again failed to comply with bail and a warrant for her arrest had to issued and was outstanding as the Derbyshire Times went to press.
