Damien Rough, 41, of Frecheville Street, Staveley: Guilty of common assault and criminal damage. Given 80 hours unpaid work. Made to pay £200 compensation, £85 court costs and a £95 victim surcharge.

Duncan Waring, of Market Street, of Clay Cross: Guilty of knowingly allowing a licensable activity to be undertaken on or from premises - namely Royal volunteer - otherwise than under and in accordance with an authorisation issued under the Licensing Act 2003. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Made to pay £400 court costs and a £21 victim surcharge.

Chesterfield Magistrates Court

Manjit Singh Cheema, 54, of Rose Avenue, Calow, Chesterfield: Guilty of possession of an unloaded air weapon, namely a Gamo Maxim Elite air rifle - in a public place. Case adjourned.

Daniel Swift, 29, of Houfton Road, Bolsover: Guilty of destroying a passport and possession of a knife in a public place. Jailed for 26 weeks. Given restraining order and £128 victim surcharge.

Arran Hamilton, 33, of Poppyfields, of Marehay, Ripley: Guilty of failing to provide information identifying the driver of a vehicle alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Case adjourned.

Duncan McCloud, 44, of Ann Street, Creswell, Worksop: Guilty of using violence for the purpose of securing entry into premises. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Made to pay £200 court costs and a £22 victim surcharge.

John Bramall, 44, of Portland Street, Whitwell: Guilty of theft from a shop and assault. Case adjourned.

Lee Butler, 45, of Scarcliffe Lanes, Upper Langwith: Guilty of driving without due care and attention. Fined £100, made to pay £34 victim surcharge. Driving record endorsed with five points.

Paul Holmes, 62, of Longfield Lane, Ilkeston: Guilty of driving uninsured. Discharged absolutely.
