Teen facing GBH charge after man attacked in his home

A teenager man has been charged with burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm after an alleged assault in Shirebrook.

Otis Kirby of Main Street, Shirebrook is due to appear at Northern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court today, Monday December 21.

The charge follows an incident during the evening of Saturday, December 19 at a house on Pear Tree Drive in Shirebrook.

A 28-year-old man received head and facial injuries when four men allegedly barged into his home.

He was treated for his injuries at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

Inquiries are continuing to trace the other suspects.
