Suspected cannabis plants found in Chesterfield home

Investigations are ongoing after suspected cannabis plans were found at a house in Chesterfield earlier this week.

Police attended a property in Melling Close, Birdholme, on Wednesday after Derbyshire Constabulary received some information.

A force spokesperson said: “At the address, a number of what were believed to be cannabis plants were found and a 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis.

“He has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue,” the added.
