Two Chesterfield FC supporters have been banned from football matches for three years.

The pair received three-year football banning orders after admitting their part in an altercation in Rotherham town centre following an away match last season.

Glenn Bloom, 39, and Jason Hollis, 39, were arrested following a match between Rotherham United and Chesterfield FC on February 16 after being involved in a clash with Rotherham fans.

Bloom, of Chester Street, Chesterfield, and Hollis, of Wythburn Road, Chesterfield, were charged with a public order offence.

Both pleaded guilty at a hearing at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 4. They both received a 12-month community order and were ordered to pay £300 costs and a £60 victim surcharge and were banned from matches for three years. Any breach of the orders is a criminal offence which could lead to prison.
