The incident happened on New Square between 1pm and 1.30pm on Thursday, January 9 and officers have released a picture of a man who might be able to help with the investigation.

PC Michael Smith, of the Chesterfield Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Inquiries are ongoing into this incident, and there would have been lots of people in the town centre around this time who may have seen or heard the abuse taking place.

“We’d really like to hear from anyone who may have information which could help.
