The force’s armed response unit said they “stumbled across” a dirt bike rider in the Hope Valley earlier today (Saturday, April 4), despite new laws in place to ensure people stay at home and leave only if it is ‘absolutely necessary’.

Upon inspection, officers noticed the bike had no number plates and its Vehicle Identification Number was “unreadable”.

That led them to believe it has potentially been stolen.
