Police recover stolen car in Derbyshire nearly two months after being taken
Police are appealing for information after recovering a stolen car in Derbyshire, nearly two months after it was taken.
The silver Mercedes was found on Smithy Knoll Road in Calver on Wednesday, September 1.
Officers say they were alerted to the vehicle after being contacted by residents who noticed it had been left on their street and were concerned it may be suspicious.
Checks revealed the car was reported as being stolen from Canalside Crescent in Chesterfield sometime overnight between Friday, July 16, and Saturday, July 17.
It is thought the vehicle may have also been in the Bonsall area.
Police are now keen to hear from anyone who may have noticed the Mercedes, have CCTV or dashcam footage of the car, or any information which could help with their enquiries.
