PEOPLE living in the Matlock Bath, Cromford and Bonsall should be on the lookout for a new bobby patrolling the streets.
PC Louise Neville joined the areas Safer Neighbourhood policing team earlier this month.
The 29-year-old has taken over the reins from PC Martin Jones, who is now working in Derbyshire Constabulary’s contact management centre.
PC Neville joined the police in 2009 and after completing her training, has been working as a response officer in the Matlock area.
A busy mum to three young children, she also helps look after the family pets and enjoys keeping fit.
PC Neville is hoping to maintain a positive policing approach for local residents. She said: “Since I started the role I have been getting to know my patch, introducing myself and getting to know some of the residents.
“My aim is to be visible in the community and to proactively target any anti-social behaviour or crime in the area.”
Residents have the chance to meet PC Neville and help set priorities for the area at the next meeting at The Cromford Institute on Thursday, July 14 at 7pm.
She added: “Don’t hesitate to say hello if you see me out and about or please contact me if you have any concerns or issues in your area.”
