Murder investigation launched after man's body found in Derbyshire town

A murder investigation has been launched after a man’s body was found in a Derbyshire town.

Police were called to Frost Avenue in Langley Mill at 2am on Friday morning (April 3) but the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A crime scene was established and a 28-year-old woman has been arrested.

She remains in police custody and the man has not yet been formally identified.

A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said: "A 28-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and she remains in police custody.

"We are treating this as an isolated incident and our investigations are still in the early stages as we work to establish the facts.

"There will be an increased police presence in the area and a scene remains in place."
