Man suffers broken cheekbone and eye socket after attack in Chesterfield pub

Detectives investigating an assault at a pub in Chesterfield are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

Police said the victim was in the Devonshire Arms in Mansfield Road, Hasland, at around 7.15pm on January 31 when he was knocked unconscious by two men.

The 36-year-old man was found to have suffered a fractured cheekbone and eye socket.

He is recovering well from him injuries, according to police.

One of the suspects is described as being 6ft 2in tall, of large build and wearing blue jeans; the second suspect is described as being 5ft 6in tall, of small build and wearing black trousers and a light coloured top.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who has any information about the incident or who knows who the two men are.
