A man has been left with significant facial injuries following a collision in Rowsley in the early hours of this morning.
The driver called police at 2.10am to report that his car had left the road somewhere in Rowsley and that he was injured.
Several police cars, a dog unit and a helicopter were sent to the area to find him. The Ford Fiesta was found in a field off Chesterfield Road, having gone through a drystone wall.
The man was taken to the Sheffield Northern General Hospital for treatment.
