Man charged with attempted murder after assault in Buxton

Police have charged a man with attempted murder following an assault in Buxton.

Officers attended a property on Fairfield Road at around 4.40pm on Friday and found a 36-year-old man with serious injuries.

He was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital and remains in a serious but stable condition.

Jake Grimshaw, 23, of South Mews, Buxton, has been charged with attempted murder. He has been remanded in custody and will appear before magistrates tomorrow (Monday).
