A man has been arrested in connection with the attempted murder and rape of a woman in a Derbyshire town.

The 42-year-old was arrested last night (Tuesday) on suspicion of attempted murder, rape, robbery and sexual assault and remains in police custody.

A woman was assaulted in the early hours of Sunday November 26, 2017 as she was walking along Queen's Avenue in Ilkeston.
