Man and women attacked by three men outside Chesterfield restaurant

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man and a women were assaulted outside a restaurant in Chesterfield.

At 12.15am on Saturday, April 11, the victims were walking past West Bars Tandoori in the town centre. The man allegedly banged on the restaurant window while in a dispute with a woman.

Men were seen to leave the takeaway and pursue the man. The man was assaulted and as a result was taken to Royal Derby Hospital with a head injury. His girlfriend was also assaulted and suffered an injury to her shoulder.

Three men, aged 19, 21 and 35, were arrested and released on bail pending further investigations.
