Heartbroken family pay tribute to 'kind, caring' man found dead in Derbyshire

The devastated family of a man found dead in Derbyshire have paid tribute to the ‘kind, caring’ 32-year-old.

Matthew Holmes was pronounced dead at the scene after officers were called on Friday, March 6, at around 10pm, to a house in Town Street, Sandiacre.

His family today said: “Matthew was so loved by his family. He was a kind, caring son and brother, who always made sure we knew he loved us.

“We will miss him every second, of every minute, of every day for the rest of our lives until we can be together again.”

Police in Derbyshire said Mr Holmes’ family had asked that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.

A 42-year-old man who was arrested at the scene remains on police bail as enquiries continue.
