A man has had a harassment conviction against him quashed after a successful appeal.
Derby Crown Court heard on Friday how Jonathan Boycott Oddy, 46, had originally been found guilty following a Chesterfield magistrates’ court trial of harassment after two alleged incidents against an ex-partner, last year, in Chesterfield.
However, Mr Oddy’s appeal at the crown court against his conviction was upheld and allowed, although he has still been made the subject of a non-contact order.
The defendant had been originally convicted after a Chesterfield magistrates’ court trial on July 14 .
The defendant, of Squirrel Walk, Fforest, Pontarddualais, Swansea, had denied the charges but was sentenced to a 12 month community order with 140 hours’ unpaid work with a two-year restraining order.
