Glossop man jailed for numerous drug offences

A Glossop man has been jailed for eight years for a number of drug offences.

Mark Thompson, aged 44, of Laneside Close, Chapel, was arrested in April 2014 at an address in Charlesworth.

A large quantity of drugs was seized from the basement area of a flat in Westall Court, Eagle Street, Buxton. The substances found included Class A, B and C controlled drugs.

Thompson was charged with seven charges of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs and one possession of ammunition.

He appeared at Derby Crown Court on July 29 and was sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to seven charges of drugs offences.
