A drunken man has been fined after he was caught swearing and shouting in Chesterfield town centre by police.
Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard on Wednesday, January 14, how Wayne Bostock, 39, of Poolsbrook Road, Duckmanton, was spotted behaving in a drunken and disorderly manner in a line of taxis on Stephenson Place.
Prosecuting solicitor Angela Hadfield said police asked Bostock to leave the area but he continued shouting and swearing so he was arrested.
Bostock pleaded guilty to behaving in a drunken and disorderly manner after the incident on December 20.
Defence solicitor Felicity Clarke said Bostock accepts he swore and was not co-operative, however he has submitted a complaint because he claims to have suffered injuries during his arrest. Magistrates fined Bostock £37 and ordered him to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
