Derbyshire Police seize van involved in Chesterfield theft that was cloned as Irish vehicle

Police officers in Derbyshire have seized a van in Chesterfield that was wanted in connection with a theft.

Cops seized the van in the town after locating it parked up in a field.

The van was displaying Irish plates but was actually a UK vehicle with no documents.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit tweeted: "Chesterfield. Van involved in a theft located parked up. Displaying Irish plates but actually a UK vehicle with no documents."

Derbyshire Times has contacted the police for more information.
