The recent confusion surrounding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent pressure put on us as a police force has been unprecedented. The current scenario we find ourselves in, both as civil servants and as community members, is one we have never been faced with before.

We can honestly say that public support is something that has kept us going in these challenging times.”

The force say it has had so many heartfelt social media comments, kind gestures from members of the public when they see our officers on the streets, and an incredible amount of posters and letters sent to both officers at police stations across the county, and to Chief Officers at their Headquarters.

Earlier this week they received a package from Year Two pupils at Carlyle Infant and Nursery School in Littleover.
