Prosecuting, Michael Little, said Twibey had shared the ‘highly illicit’ image with six people he was connected to on Facebook, including the husband of a work colleague.

“It caused her all sorts of problems,” he said. “She doesn’t want to show her face at work because she is extremely embarrassed.”

He told the court that Twibey had turned up in the early hours of the morning on December 19 last year and caused damage to the window and tyre and then later turned up at the hotel where his former partner works.

He then jumped over the reception desk and grabbed her by the arm, pulling her into the carpark, where he became aggressive before trying to kiss her.

When she went to call the police, Twibey told her: “The police can’t save you,no judge or God can save you,” Mr Little said.

Mitigating, Denny Lau said: “They had been in a marriage for 20 odd years but he had met a partner on the side. She found out about it and they agreed that he could come back if he ended the new relationship. In the end she could not accept what he had done. He effectively blew his chances because of these offences and because he cheated.”

Twibey will be sentenced on Wednesday July 22 after probation reports have been prepared.
