Dead swan found in Staveley
A swan has been shot in the eye and left to die in Staveley.

The dead swan has been found by Derbyshire Constabulary Wildlife Officers off Bent Lane, which is off Worksop Road, Staveley and has the ring number Y789.
The officer said: “The swan has been shot by the looks of it, shot in the eye and the shot then exited through the back of the head.
“No meat was taken off the swan, it was just left.
“This type of cruelty and mindless killing must be stopped. Please help us.”
