Chesterfield woman admits possession of drugs and acting in a drunken and disorderly manner

A Chesterfield woman has been fined after she was caught with a quantity of cannabis in the town, court records show.

Chantelle Hampshire, 27, of Wenlock Walk, Grassmoor, was caught with the Class B drug in Broom Drive, Grassmoor, on May 19 this year.

She admitted possession of the drug when she appeared before Chesterfield Magistrates’ Court on July 30, along with being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

She was fined £100 for each offence and was ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £34 victim surcharge.

Magistrates also ruled that the drugs should be forfeited and destroyed.
