Detectives are trying to trace two people who helped a woman after she had been assaulted in Chesterfield.

At around 2.30pm on Friday, August 30, a 60-year-old woman was in the retail area of Markham Road when she became aware of three teenage boys on skateboards nearby.

She continued walking along South Place and felt a blow to her leg, causing her to fall to the floor.

She heard someone say ‘get the bag’ although her bag was not taken.

Two women helped her to her feet.

She did not see who assaulted her.

Police are trying to trace these two women in case they have information which could help with the inquiry.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
