Car rammed into ATM machine by would-be thieves

Thieves used a 4x4 in a bid to ramraid a cash machine.

The attempted theft took place between 3am and 3.15am on Wednesday, August 22 at Red House Service Station on Heath Road in Heath.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said: “A Nissan Pajero 4x4 was used to ram the ATM but the attack was unsuccessful and the would-be thieves fled the scene.

“The car was then later found burnt out.

“We are not linking this attack to any other incidents.”

Police are appealing for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the area which shows a Nissan Pajero to contact Derbyshire Police on 101 quoting reference 18*398916.
