A drug producer caught with up to £42,500 worth of cannabis plants is to be sentenced at the end of the month.
Chesterfield magistrates’ court previously heard how a police raid found Damian Kirk, 34, of Allendale Road, Wingerworth, Chesterfield, had 31 cannabis plants in a room.
Police executed a drugs warrant search at the defendant’s address, according to prosecuting solicitor Becky Mahon, and found the plants.
Miss Mahon stated police said the raid uncovered a yield of £30,000 and £42,500 worth of plants grown from cuttings.
Kirk pleaded guilty to producing the controlled class B drug in contravention of the Misuse of Drugs Act after the raid in May.
Defence solicitor Steve Brint said Kirk submitted a guilty plea at the first opportunity.
The case was adjourned to Derby Crown Court on August 23 and has since been adjourned again until September 26 for sentencing.
