Three youths have been arrested on suspicion of assault and affray after a teenage ‘Good Samaritan’ was put in hospital for trying to help a drunken youth in Sheffield.
The teenage boys, aged 15 and 16, have since been bailed pending further police inquires.
Jacob Eaton, aged 14, of Barlborough near Chesterfield was set upon by a group of youths after he tried to help a person who appeared to be drunk.
The incident happened on Saturday, June 20, at about 10.45pm, on Westfield Northway, in Westfield.
Jacob was taken to Chesterfield Royal Hospital in a neck brace after suffering multiple injuries.
South Yorkshire Police said officers have received a number of calls with information regarding the attack.
