A drunken reveller who had been arguing with pub door staff in Chesterfield town centre before refusing to co-operate with police has been ordered to pay £349.
Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard on Friday, August 14, how Dale Howard, 27, of North Road, Calow, Chesterfield, was seen by police to be unsteady on his feet as he was arguing with door staff outside the Moo Bar.
Prosecuting solicitor Ian Shaw said the door staff had asked him to leave and when police told Howard to go home he repeated what they said, swore and refused to go.
Mr Shaw added that there was a struggle as police were forced to arrest the defendant.
Howard pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place after the incident on July 31.
Magistrates fined Howard £94 and ordered him to pay £85 costs, a £150 court charge and a £20 victim surcharge.
