POLICE have seized a motorbike from a nuisance rider who had no insurance or licence.
Officers in Staveley seized the bike after receiving numerous calls about motorbikes being riding dangerously on local parkland on Wednesday, August 3.
Safer Neighbourhoods officers found the rider and followed him back to an address on Circular Road where they confiscated the bike.
The motorbike was seized from a 30-year-old man under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act as it had no insurance and the rider did not hold a licence to ride it.
PC Ian Biggin, of the Staveley area Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Once again I would like to thank the general public for providing reports to us enabling prompt action ensuring that this bike is off the road.
“Over the last few nights we have had numerous reports in the area regarding this bike and it is great to see a result like this.”
