In a post on Twitter, Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit joked that the ‘baking fan’ driver was pulled over by officers on the road yesterday (February 2) after he ‘loaded his car up with flour with no thought for how much weight he was carrying’.

Police posted a picture of the overloaded Volkswagen which was over the legal vehicle weight limit, showing the boot of the car and back seats full to the prim with boxes of flour and fizzy drinks.

Twitter user @guzzicraig replied, mocking the overweight vehicle and said: “Surely he should’ve the sense to buy self raising?”

While another person commented: “Also would have been a right cake mix if they crashed.. or have they just gone baking mad?!?!”
