A reveller who was abusive to police during a night-out in Chesterfield town centre has been fined for being drunk and disorderly.
Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard on Monday, December 9, how Tyrone Walker, 21, of Boythorpe Crescent, Chesterfield, had been thrown out of the Evolution nightspot before he became abusive to a police officer at a kebab shop on Holywell Street.
Ian Shaw, prosecuting, said the officer said there had been people in the kebab shop wanting to assault Walker and the officer was trying to look after the defendant but he became abusive and was waving his arms around.
Walker pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in public after the incident last month.
Bob Bashforth, defending, said Walker had been involved in an argument at Evolution and he felt he was the one being picked on. Magistrates fined him £90 and ordered him to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
