91-year-old woman targeted in distraction burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses after two men tried to steal valuables from an elderly woman in Tibshelf.

The 91-year-old victim was at home in Hawthorne Avenue when she was visited by the offenders at about 8.30pm on Saturday, April 18.

One of the men said he was from a water company and needed to check water pressure in the address due to an explosion in the area.
