CRIME ON THE DANCEFLOOR: Young lads punched in Chesterfield bar after bumping into man

Three young men have been attacked on the dancefloor of a Chesterfield bar.

Police said the early-morning assault happened at Groove on Church Walk.

The men, two aged 20 and one aged 19, were on the dancefloor when it is thought one of them may have bumped into another man.

The young lads were then punched by a man.

One fell to the floor and suffered two broken teeth and a cut to his chin, one suffered bruising to his eye and lip and the other suffered bruising to his neck.

Officers are now appealing for information to trace two men seen in the bar at the time of the incident.

Both were white and thought to be aged in their 20s. One is described as about 5ft 7in with short dark hair. He was wearing dark rimmed glasses and a white jumper with dark coloured stripes.

The second man was about 6ft tall with dark short or shaved hair and was wearing a white polo shirt.

The attack happened between 4am and 4.30am on Sunday, January 10, but Derbyshire police only released details about the incident on Wednesday morning.
