Crime cash used to help local charities flourish

Two Buxton charities have received a helping hand thanks to cash grants retrieved by police under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Peaks and Dales Advocacy, which offers free help and advice to older people, those with learning difficulties and mental health problems, received support through a donation of £1500.

The Grapevine Wellbeing Centre received £1000 to allow them to develop projects to support mental wellbeing within the Buxton and High Peak communities.
