Crich Glebe Field Centre, in Glebe Field Close, will host the remembrance event on Tuesday, November 11.

Martyn Offord has written and edited work for the event, and the performance has been written using research done by Peter Patilla and Brian Gibbons of the Crich Area Community News.

Pictures and biographies of those who went to war from Crich have been published in a book and a new roll of honour has been produced, a copy of which will be presented to everyone attending.

Each item in the programme is designed to give a voice to men who either didn’t return or who returned and said very little.

The circumstances in which they fought have been researched and their experiences recreated.

Four–hundred and twenty–three people from the village went to the war and 72 failed.

The event will be held at 7.30pm.
